See how we reward you for the time you put into buying a home…

Q: What kind of rebates are you talking about here?

A: Commissions vary, but on the average $500,000 property a 50% rebate* will be around $3,900. On a $1,000,000 property, a 50% rebate* will be around $6,785! This goes a long way to offset many of the additional costs involved in buying a property….

Q: We are planning to buy a property that hasn’t been built yet through the developer’s sales centre, can REVO get me cash back on this kind of property?

A: Absolutely! REVO specializes in assisting buyers of pre-sale homes. While the developer would love you to walk into their sales centre without an agent, you can enjoy rebates of thousands of dollars by bringing a REVO affiliated agent along with you. Not only will you get cash back, but you will be represented by a professional that will be taking care of your interest’s throughout the transaction.

Q: I’m looking to buy a property, when should I contact REVO?

A: Contact REVO as soon as possible. Even if you haven’t found the property you want to buy, we want to get you connected to one of our affiliated real estate agents as soon as possible so that they can start assisting you and be ready for you when you do find your dream home. If you have already found the property you want to buy, contact us right away so that we can get an agent working with you to close that deal.

Q: You say that I can get as much as a 50% cash rebate from what my buyer agent earns, how does the rebate structure work?

A: We have aligned with real estate agents that are excited about change. Enjoy a rebate of 20%-50% of the commission the buyer agent earns, depending on how many homes they help you evaluate during your buying process.

REBATE                                         Homes evaluated

50%                                                         1-3

40%                                                         4-5

30%                                                         6-7

20%                                                         8+

Q: What do you mean when you say “homes evaluated”?

A: Your REVO affiliated agent is trained and experienced in providing in-depth analysis of properties and current market conditions. However, at REVO, we don’t feel that getting driven around by an agent to see home after home is time particularly well spent for anyone- you know best what it is that you want, so why defer to a real estate agent? When you do the searching, we help reward you for the value that you are providing (your agent will help get you set up so that you have access to the most current listing information so that you can search effectively). And once you find a property that you are serious about and think could be the one, this is the time to get your REVO affiliated agent to tenaciously evaluate the property for you. They can provide critical insight about the price that you should be paying as well as other crucial details that will help shape your decision, and this is when an agent starts to provide their most value and what we mean by “homes evaluated”.

Q: I’m not paying my buyer’s agent any commission…how do they get paid in a real estate deal?

A: Your buyer agent almost always gets paid by the seller according to the commission agreement that is in place between the seller and their real estate agent (the listing agent). That agreement sets out how much a buyer’s agent gets rewarded/paid for bringing the buyers. The buyer agent can do what they want with the commission they earn and if you have made their job a whole lot easier by finding the property you want to buy, we make sure you get rewarded by getting as much of that money to you as we can!

Q: Sure it’s nice to get buyers a rebate, but sellers pay commission, so wouldn’t REVO be more focused on saving them money?

A: At REVO, we see the commission equation (and other things) a little differently… Although the sellers agree to how much money they are willing to pay in commission, this money ends up coming out of the funds that the buyers provide to pay for the property. So, sellers use the buyer’s money to pay real estate commission and really, it ends up costing both buyers AND sellers.

Q: Are there any strings attached for the buyer?

A: Not really… We are offering change in an industry that is reluctant to change, especially with property prices soaring the way they are. So, we need you to do your part. If you are savvy, proactive, and wanting to do the legwork on your own, then REVO is likely a great match for you. However, in order to attract quality real estate professionals to get involved with REVO, it needs to work for them too. We want you to get the largest rebates possible and this is done by having you do as much as you can to find the right place for you, which then allows the agent to focus on doing more deals. If you have had 5 properties evaluated and you haven’t yet bought a property, in order for your agent to continue to offer their services at a discount and commit their time to you, your REVO affiliated agent may ask you to sign a contract* that states that you are committed to working exclusively with them. This is left to the discretion of the agent, but is in place so that the agents will eventually get fairly compensated when you buy a property if your property hunt ends up becoming a more protracted traditional search.
